OUR PROGRAMS
NVCS Safe Parking
NVCS’ Safe Parking program started in 2018 as the first of its kind in the SFV and offers an array of onsite services that address the homeless community’s ongoing needs. Our program helps participants become self-sustaining, develop a path to housing, and focus on making their homelessness as short as possible.
WRAP-AROUND SERVICES
Participants in the NVCS Safe Parking Program have access to onsite security, restrooms, showers, case management services, and referrals, employment resources, legal aide referrals, benefits assistance, and connections to community-based support services designed to promote stability and self-sufficiency . NVCS welcomes individuals that are: the disabled, veterans, senior citizens, students over 21yrs of age, LGBTQ+, those who are working and those who are unemployed.
In 2020, our Safe Parking program was able to assist our most vulnerable into Project Roomkey, keeping them safe from COVID-19. NVCS continues to adapt to community needs and is set to expand its safe parking program to four additional City Council Districts in 2021.
