Thanksgiving meal

On the month of November, Breakfast program volunteers hosted a Thanksgiving lunch for over 250 NVCS participants.  20 volunteers participated and contributed 90 hours of their time to help out in this event.  Participants enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, including appetizers, and dessert, and some even had the opportunity to practice their English through dialogues with volunteers while they ate.

Toy Give-Away

On the month of December, families come to pick up their toys for the Christmas Toy Giveaway. Toys are provided courtesy of Toys for Tots, the California Highway Patrol, and North Valley Occupational Center.  An average of 600 toys are collected for all age groups and distribute to NVCS families and the community every year.
