The Breakfast Program and Food Pantry
The
Breakfast Program
(NVCS’ most long standing program of over 30 years) and Food Pantry
help address the extreme poverty and homelessness pervasive in NVCS’
community. Each month approximately 120 homeless adults and residents
attend the Breakfast Program, where they are provided a hot meal, a
shower and basic grooming supplies during the three weekday mornings
it operates. The Food Pantry operates twice a month, each time helping
approximately 375 individuals and families make ends meet.

Health
Clinics
NVCS partners with several medical
centers and health care providers to
host a variety of free monthly health clinics, each of which benefits
approximately 40 young children and/or adults. Monthly clinics have
included: pediatric dental care, pap smears, mammograms, blood
pressure screenings, vision screenings, and sugar level tests. In
addition, last year Lens Crafters provided glasses to over 55 families
though one of their clinics. |
